124 players including 17 women competed in the Roger Rei Memorial golf tournament at Patea Golf Club last Friday. A strong south easterly wind made scoring difficult but Hawera’s Tim White revelled in the windy conditions to shoot a one under par round of 72 to take out the feature prize for the best overall gross score.
