Manukorihi is a challenging but fair 18 hole championship course with a par of 72. The course provides a park like easy walking environment that features fairways lined with many native & deciduous trees. A great view of Mt Taranaki can be had from most holes.
In 2012 the committee proposed to change the playing order of the holes. This was accepted by the club members and the changes went into force on the opening day of the 2013 season.
The members, committee and greens staff continue to improve and develop the course and its facilities to cater for the steadily growing membership. In addition the course has a resident professional John Garner who is available for coaching and advice regarding all aspects of golf. John is a former Ryder Cup player who has recently been honoured by being awarded the PGA's highest accolade of PGA Master Professional.
The course is a popular destination for green fee players each fine weekend. On Sundays in particular many visitors come to enjoy the walk, golfing challenge and picturesque scenery. An additional feature is the Sunday Junior coaching and playing sessions operated by some of our senior members.
Besides the clubrooms and changing facilities the club features
- An undercover practice facility available to both members and visitors.
- Hire carts and clubs.
- Caravan/Camper van sites.
